To all the #haters out there, calm yourself down! Everyone who complains that #ALS icebucket challenge is nothing but wasteful and continue to remind us that there are some countries who are underprivileged with no water, or that only a limited amount of money goes to research and the rest goes to administration fees, or that this is some form of #conspiracy to dumb you down so you dont question #Gaza, #MH17, or #ferguson - all you people need to take a step back and think before you go on hating! Let me remind you that the majority of you take showers, baths, swim in man made pools, often flush toilets, water your lawns & flowers yet you claim that a genius fad bringing awareness to a disease almost unheard of by the general public is wasteful. WHAT about the limited amount of money actually going to research....well 27% of 94 million raised is a heck a lot better than 27% of 1 million AND if you want more money to go to research then why dont you get off your #ASS and volunteer your time (bc I am pretty sure most of you will not work for free!!!). Now as for all the conspiracy theorists out there....No one is taking away from the issues of GAZA or Russia or ISIS or Ferguson. When most of you needed support as you bombarded us daily with messages and statuses, we supported you by liking and encouraging your passion so now it is your TURN to do the same! People dying of ALS are no less important that people dying of war, drought, famine, prejudice, inequity etc. and there are many causes and advocacy groups to address these issues as well! EVERY ONE who lost a member to a disease should be a front runner in helping to promote awareness, education, and funds for causes like the ALS #icebucketchallenge. Thank you to the wonderful people who donate their time and money to fight the many #diseases out there!
