To all the ladies... I cant seem to stress enough how important it is that we consider our sisters in humanity... Ophelia its like a coffee shop. The women dont go home. They flirt with my husband...one of them was even rubbing his arm telling him not to worry she would raise my daughter...when Im gone. Theyre not here for me...they dont even ask how I am... I can hear this womans frustration. I hear the pain in her voice and I hear the desperation in every letter of every word she forces from her mouth. My heart breaks a little more... You see this woman was dying...of a brain tumor. When Cancer hits the brain it not only damages things like eyesight, balance and motor skills...it wreacks havoc on the parts of the brain that stabilise our emotions :( I had brought these people to her home, not physically, but by asking strangers to help her...financially, physically and emotionally. And instead of taking on the role of being her sister in humanity, showing compassion and being kind...some women decided to capitalise on her pending death, by flirting with her quite attractive husband. Tell them to get the f#/$$ out of your house... I was furious. I had caused this... never ever imagining this would be the result...and I was a million miles away from her...unable to pull her out. This woman had battled Cancer for 10 long years. And this was not the first time this had happened. You see when she was initially diagnosed she overheard plans being made for the new woman to enter her childrens lives and share a bed with her husband. She was still alive! And plans to destroy even the memory of her family life were well under way before plans for her funeral even were. There are very few things that I detest...but women acting loosely with spoken for men make my heart ache and my blood boil. This example is the most vicious, uncompassionate and tragic I have seen. But just because a woman is not dying, it does not make it less painful, agonising and morally repugnant. Marriage and the bond between a man and woman is sacred. When you are the person who sticks your foot in the middle of it you crush another human...sometimes beyond repair. You do not have a right to be the third wheel, the homewrecker or the saviour. And dont ever believe you are that special that only you could steal his heart. Loyalty and honesty are inherent traits in a person and one who foregoes them in a moment of lust (it is lust) cannot be trusted with the neighbours dog...let alone the heart and soul of another human being...let alone with yours. I will never forget the anguish in her voice, or the sound of her pain trickling through her tears, may she rest in peace. And I will never forget that her final memory was not of a sense of community from her sisters, but of the selfish, morally repugnant nature of the world she left behind. If a person is unhappy in their marriage they should let the other person know. Its not okay to create an entire life of lies, deception and betrayal so that one can taste the benefits of dishes on the side... Because the unsuspecting partner never bought into the possibility of diseases, pregnancies and problems that you yourself may gift them. And if our compassion doesnt extend to our sisters in humanity then we should at least nurture it for ourselves...we deserve better than a part time partner... Imagine youre with a married man and you get sick...you get Cancer...and all you get is stolen moments, not an iota of the support you deserve. Taken men have a sign on their foreheads that say off limits. If they cant read it...make sure you can!
