To all the people who lost someone today or have lost someone in the past at the hands of barbarianism, I dont know you personally. I dont know whether you are safe or your hands still smell of a fresh grave. But I do know that words dont count for much. You dont care about the money the government is offering you, protesting parties and promises. I do know that your dreams have been shot dead, your future shattered. No parent should go through what you are going through right now. I do know all of this But I want YOU to know that I do think of you. Not just the days when you make headlines. The pain in my heart lessens but it never dies. I want you to know that even though my mourning is of no use Im by your side. I will do whatever I can to show you my support. Even if it is as useless as putting up a status or going to a vigil. I want you to know that I love you like I love all that is mine. As long as there is even a single person who stands up for you, against oppression, voices his opinion, these barbarians will keep on losing. I, as a civilian, as your fellow citizen take an oath that I will do everything in my limited power to show you my support to stand against extremism until I die. May Allah give you patience to deal with your loss. Ameen.
