To anyone on my friend list feeling the need to post or share anything against the race horse industry after yesterday please feel free to delete me as a friend (if I have not already done it for you). Stop thinking the sport is cruel when youve never worked in the industry a day in your life. I know first hand that these horses are treated like gold. If they show signs of being ill I can tell you now that the trainers wont risk running them. Admire died from an acute heart attack. I have seen horse mistreated in dressage,jumping eventing ect seen more horses die at a childs school gymkhana in the space of an hour then I have ever seen a a race meet. If you think racing is cruel then you need to hate anything that involves horses being ridden or used in any form. I never been so pissed off with all the idiot, uneducated comments. I also dont take kindly to it being implied or said that I abuse animals. Thank you.
