To be!? Behind those eyes so blue and full of life Is the undertaking inside Bitter sweet irony of a life once knew, a love once felt and a hope still lingering Held together with pieces of Brocken memories, glued with emotions Fate is felt yet pondered, where should we yet lie Together within the sands of time, yet so separate in these eyes A soul once whole, shattered to the ground Lovesick thoughts of irony once past and forgotten things once held dear Glistening in the moonlight, there she lay Bathed in the evanescent glow and cooled with the shallow breeze upon her cheek Beauty of unimaginable wonder and awe, depth of history itself Yet here lies a non believer Faith is lacking and truth held dear yet scorned Beauty of a sunsets kiss burnt away with old scars Tears yet dried upon her neck and cheek alike Though all is not yet lost In the battle of fear and doubt, shallow expectations and cold bitter disaster Lies the truth of another’s eyes, held warm with lovers bliss In these eyes see the goddess within, the light and hope once gone returned And the mark she leaves in her wake Yet she is blind, tormented and tired of the very fight itself So much so that one remains left in the depths of the shadows Awaiting the sirens call The endless bounds remain and the cycle of life continues The story unfolds yet to be and the look remains forever more Thickened by the glance of a soul and smoothed by the ponder of her hold and grasp Together as one, or yet forever lingering What is to be!?
