To be a Christian doesnt make you good. Even Jesus asked, Why call me good? For there is only one good, and thats my Father in heaven. He humbled Himself by saying this, knowing who He really was, and thats how were suppose to be. Being a Christian means living a life the way He did, because He is our example. He said, Be ye holy, for I am holy. Dont lean towards your own understanding, but rather hear Him. He gave us His Word to learn from it, and study it as well. If you have a Bible, dont let it sit there and gather dust. Pick it up, read it, and learn from the one who died and is alive for ever more. If you think your elders are being pushy, then please read 2 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 24. Being a Christian is not without trials and tribulations, but we have faith in our God for the answer, and He will carry us through, amen.
