To be fair to the Russians, given the fact that as a whole their country experiences worse winter weather over a much larger area, they have no monopoly on bad drivers. I think their lack of dedicated left turn lanes, less lane markings, and fewer multi-lane and divided highways is part of the problem. Additionally there seems to be a large number of pedestrian crosswalks in the middle of nowhere. I also see a lack of speed limit signs and a general lack of no u-turn and no passing zones. If we had dash cams in the numbers they do then we would see a great more insanity on roads here in the United States. There is a lot they could do in Russia to decrease their accident rate however!
