To be honest with you, Im not particularly thrilled about this trip to Alaska. But my mother needs me for a while. We do have a conflict of interest; she wants me for the winter, and I dont want to be away from my home that long. I will help her get the house ready for winter, and stick around to make shes going to be okay, but thats it. I have a life here in Minnesota, and all my close friends are here. I understand that she is my mother, but its her decision to continue to live in Alaska. I cannot abandon my life in Minneapolis. Ive worked too hard to only have to do that. Fyi, this will not be a social visit, rather a necessary action. If I dont have time to visit with any of you, then youll just have to bear with me. I just want to get there, do what needs to be done, and get back home ASAP. Thank you. That is all...
