To commemorate the event Papa Bois Conservation has been asked to participate in a clean-up of the Queens Park Savannah organized by the U.S. Embassy Trinidad and Tobago . Other partners include The Port-of-Spain Corporation, the Ministry of Food Production, First Citizens Bank, Hilton Hotel, bpTT, UTT, Queens Royal College, Office R Us, Plastikeep, Carib Glass, Recycling In Motion. The U.S. Embassy has printed T-shirts for the event. They will be distributed to volunteers on a first-come-first-serve basis, as long as supplies last. If you click attend, that will give the embassy an idea how many T-Shirts to print. PBC will be showcasing the Trinidad & Tobago Shark Sanctuary campaign at the event. We need as many PBC volunteers to represent as possible! Several high profile attendees include the UK High Commissioner, the German Ambassador, the Nigerian High Commissioner, the Deputy Mayor of Port of Spain and Food Production Minister Devant Maharaj. The event starts and ends opposite the U.S. Embassy on the Queens Park Savannah. The schedule: The event starts at 14:00 volunteers gather, T-shirts are issued. 14:05 Opening remarks by dignitaries 14:10 Volunteers divided in to 4 groups 15:15 Teams meet in front of First Citizens 15:30 Closing ceremony and drinks available for purchase.
