To date, funds raised by the 2013 Ride to conquer cancer have already been invested in 6 new research projects; the purchase of essential equipment for the new Perkins research labs including imaging and stereo microscopes; to support 12 existing research programs in prostate, head and neck, colon, breast, melanoma, pancreatic, and liver cancer as well as leukaemia, the impact of hormones in cancer and new therapies, to recruit 3 new cancer research teams and to support core facilities.
