Because the ones that are not legitimate roofing contractors dont have an office, they dont have insurance (which protects you and your property) and they probably dont have credit or the tools to handle your project. 2. Be aware of the roofer that says I will do your roof for free Or I will do your roof and it wont cost you anything He hasnt got Insurance or probably not even an office. And is committing Insurance FRAUD!!! IF he is audited YOU will go to jail for Collusion!!! 3. See if they are members of the Better Business Bureau 4. See if they REALLY have Liability Insurance.
