To everyone who has concerns for the future of our water and our ecological viability of the future. Please read below what I posted when I signed the petition to stop the Tongue River and Otter Creek strip mining operation that is to be built in land that belongs rightfully to the Cheyenne and Crow tribes of our nation. I urge you to assist our Native American brothers and sisters and sign the petition of this bothers you as much as it bothers me. No one in America needs suffer any more pollution from outdated energy sources when it is clear the wind can produce energy cleanly. I just had the privilege and horror of watching a documentary that featured the good people of West Virginia and Robert Kennedy Jr. who has called for the mountain top mining of West Virginia to be halted. Countless people in West Virginia have suffered and the mountain tops are being blown off and destroyed forever for our lust for cheap, dirty energy. Not to mention the sacred lands that belong to the Cheyenne and Crow tribes that will be desecrated. This is morally wrong!! We must stand for those whose lands are being taken for ill purposes that are not needed. Whether it be the people of West Virginia or the Cheyenne and Crow of the Tongue River and Otter Creek areas. If the raping and pillaging of our land is to be halted, we must all stand firm and protect one another from permanent harm. Water, air, land, these things cannot be returned to us unharmed after the damage is done. In order to survive as a people we must protect the land we turn to, to sustain us. Please stop this madness before it is too late.
