To fall in love, forget the whole world, think of nothing or rather none except the one you love, break all rules, forget to eat or sleep, forget your family, friends, work, career, passion...Is that the love that consumes you??? Or is it to fall in love, understand each other, understand each others worlds and what it demands and give in to that, be ones shoulder to cry on when required, not eat till the other eats...Is that the love that consumes you??? Then again, is marriage the only fate for the love that consumes...What about other unfortunate options??? Will love be said to have consumed you only when one gets to spend their lives together and pursue your likes, career, family??? What about those who still love each other but could not be together because of various reasons, but still continue to fight for their likes, with love as their only strength, though knowing they will never have them???...Is that not the love that consumes??? For some people, love is, to be lost in each others physical beauty, time and again, and consummation defines the love that consumes them. For some, to be lost in each others eyes and even if so happens only once, it is enough to spend their life time knowing that it is the closest thing they will get to be with their love. The meaning of this love that consumes one, has changed over the years. There was a time, when being consumed in love, meant to fall in love with only one individual, woo them with their or their familys consent, and let themselves be swayed away and into a love that consumes them. Nowadays, its really difficult to define a love that consumes. Its even difficult to find someone with whom you could have the love that consumes you. Physical beauty and materialistic gains, rule the world. I find people claiming to have found this love which consumes them, not with one, but a number of people, time and again. And here I thought, that this kinda love, one is supposed to find with only their soul mate. This amuses me, more often than usual. I dont know what would be appropriate for me, to laugh out loudly or to slap them hard. Here I have another question. What if, one actually did find love that consumes them, but due to an unfortunate event (demise, betrayal, unexpected turn of fate), they had to depart from their love. And they happen to find another love that consumes them. But its not necessary, that their old love is forgotten. Then, in such a situation, is this the love that consumes them truely???
