What a great night in our Little neck of the Woods, in North County...Neighbors were out, celebrating different events, kids walking with dogs, laughter ringing up and down the street, and visits from friends of all walks of life...The night began with a few of us walking to the neighborhood bar for a fundraiser, for an area business person who is ill...A great band, and bikers, and great people watching...Despite the tension nearby in Ferguson, it was great to see our little hood carrying on normally...I came home to live coverage of the Midnight curfew in Ferguson, taking place...Once again, smoke bombs, tear gas, and the police trying to avoid a confrontation, as the crowd advanced on them..Only as they were very close to the police line, did the police don their gas masks, and protective gear...The news said this morning that one more person was shot, and is in critical condition...The reporter was saying how the crowd was saying, that if Ferguson was imposing a Midnight curfew on them, then they would move their Protests to a nearby city, that had no curfew imposed on them...This is way too close for comfort, and I truly do not even know what is wanted by the Protestors..They got the name of the Officer involved in the shooting, they got the St. Louis County Police to step down to the Missouri State Patrol, and the family of the victim, has asked for peace, as to show dignity to the family in mourning....As I understand it, many of the Protestors are not even from around here, making it even harder to understand the motives to all of the looting, and rioting....I loved spending the evening in the comfort of friends and neighbors, living life to the fullest, and keeping it real...
