To get every movement out of those legs.. while she still can. - TopicsExpress

To get every movement out of those legs.. while she still can. This woman inspires me. This is why I have a horse; even though it means that to afford to, I have no smart phone or tablet, no salon nails, no salon haircuts or color jobs, no new clothes, no special cable channels, no vacations to speak of.... to get every last ride I can, whether its once a week, once a month, or once a year. I am so, so proud of Kayla and her achievement! So remarkable. And a shoutout to all my friends with autoimmune diseases like MG, MS, RA, Fibro, etc: Keep running. Keep riding. Keep swimming. Keep your horse, your dog, your walks. Keep trying to go up the stairs. Use a cane or a scooter and get out there. Bring a chair everywhere and sit in it when you need to. Never, never, never give up, no matter how infrequently you succeed!!!!! Cry and collapse and do it again. These diseases cycle on their own, even as they progress, and most of us cant exert with regularity like Kayla. But exerting when and as you can is just as meaningful! I know you all struggle with the daily races like groceries (aughhhhh), laundry, household chores, child care, working -- and when your adversary is autoimmune disease, it is all just as hard, and just as heroic.
