To give you a idea of car theft in the county over the past number of weeks there were nineteen machines stolen. The majority were stolen from houses at night while three were stolen while owners had gone to work in Dublin when they were parked at various car parks. There were four BMW cars stolen during the month. After that vw cars were the next highest. Barrel popping in still the favourite way where criminals are gaining entry to houses at night. Most of the cars wers stolen from the Navan and Ashbourne areas. Burglaries for the month of November are down just over 40% for the same period compared to last year. There were lots of great detections by local Gardai during the same period. It is really important to report any suspicious activity in your area as this has led to a number of these detections.
