To honor Jeff, let’s dive into life’s adventures head first. (From Jeff’s blog) Oh yea and 65 foot cliff jump into the lake... SHWEEETT?!!? Anyways no one wanted to jump... It was too high...too scary... and just to damn intimidating...until my hero showed up. He was strong, fearless, and and done this probably hundreds of times before... oh yea and he was like 8 years old. After he jumped we knew we could not chicken out and be showed up by an 8 year old. There are three stages when jumping from heights that high. First, the oooo shit moment when your toes leave that hard surface and enter a free fall... Second, the euphoria of falling for around 3 seconds that probably is equal to that of skydiving continuously... Third, a repeat of oooo shit since you realize you have been falling for about 4 seconds and there is something on the other side that is not a trampoline or a warm pool of pillows but a contaminated lake that may or may not have rocks at the bottom... Needless to say it bordered on the most exhilarating thing I may have done... which I did three times. Before we left there was an older man from australia chilling by the lake which we talked to... I will never forget his words of wisdom... “Yea I have jumped off from that cliff, but I have never done it feet first. Yup, my first time I dove right in...some people just don’t jump feet first” - obi wan aussie I felt that this had a deeper impact then just a cliff but I should dive right in head first to many opportunities while abroad... so thanks random aussie and enjoy your yoga and beautiful scenery.
