To members and friends of Fil-Am Club of North Texas Hard times - TopicsExpress

To members and friends of Fil-Am Club of North Texas Hard times have struck again when the biggest typhoon in recorded history on the planet hit Tacloban, Leyte in the Philippines. Between 80 to 90 % of the homes and buildings were destroyed. More than 2,300 dead people were counted and several thousands injured as to this date. Men, women, and children are in the midst of struggle beyond many of us in this world could ever imagine. The faces of children depict clear images of misery and panic as they desperately search to find something to eat and clean water to drink and find shelter to rest as the night falls. This is the time for us to pause, to reflect, to remember, and to help. Any amount you can donate, large or small will be a blessing to these less fortunate victims of Typhoon Haiyan. You can send your donation to Fil-Am Club of North Texas, P.O. Box 3487 Wichita Falls, TX 76301 Families with close relatives and friends in the disaster affected areas in Tacloban and surrounding towns can send their donations directly to them. Fil-Am Club of North Texas is a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) non profit organization since December 1999. Your donation is tax deductible to the full extent of the law. You will receive an official receipt with Fil-Am tax exempt number for your donation. The total amount collected will be channeled to the Catholic Relief Services ( CRS ) which is already in place in Tacloban soon after Typhoon Haiyan left the island. CRS is internationally well- known and their work is witnessed all around the world. 97 % of donations go to help the victims of natural disasters. CRS carries out the commitment of the Catholic Bishops of the United States. God bless you for your generosity and charity in this time of great need. Armando G.
