To my Brothers and Sisters in Christ: How much do you really love Jesus? This question has been resounding in my heart as of lately because I feel too many of us truly do not understand what it means to love Jesus, although many of us spend our time in church with such a strong sense of people pleasing, how often do we spend time just talking to Jesus as if he is our brother, our best friend? Do you call out to God in good times and bad, saying Abba, Father consider me? How much do you really love Jesus? Do you set yourself apart as peculiar while loving on those around you with a love that is full of grace and mercy, Do you say I am blessed and highly favored, yet neglect to look at those around you who are poor, and hungry? Those around us who are lost, those who will go first in the Kingdom of God. Do you care more about your life in the now and here Do you doubt that God owns the cattle on a thousand hills? Do you doubt that he will not keep his promises? DO you rob God? (we all have) which brings me right back to the beginning. How much do you really love Jesus? Would you die for him? Would you stand in the face of your enemies knowing you may not see tomorrow, would you open your mouth and let the Holy Ghost speak words of love as Jesus did to the Soldier or will you be as Peter and repay evil with evil? So often I feel religion neglects to speak the purpose of Christianity and that purpose is LOVE, without LOVE you are nothing, we are nothing. When I think about how entitled many Christians act, how often so many of them think they are better because they are saved, I have to stand up and say Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. we are nothing without Jesus, we are no better than anyone else around us aside from the fact that we walk in the shelter of The Almighty. So my message today is spend more time loving Jesus, and spreading that Love to his lost Sheep, and less time in a church building acting as if you are too Holy to relate.. My goal on this Earth is to love as many people as I can, to show them that Gods heart is so much more vast and loving than most want to realize or even admit, and the only rules that Jesus gave us to fulfill all of Gods commandments is to LOVE.. LOVE GOD FIRST AND FOREMOST AND LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF!! ITS simple, just love and have faith in God above anything that is going on here on this Earth.. That to me is where our focus should be..
