To my Delaware National Guard Family: Jane and I want to recognize a most important month in our military calendar - Military Spouse Appreciation Month - set aside to honor those whose support and encouragement sustain the men and women of our Delaware National Guard. Throughout our nations history, spouses of service men and women have made unselfish contributions to the spirit and well being of our members and the communities in which they live and work. This has certainly never been more true than it is today with the many members of our Delaware National Guard who are deployed. We are especially proud to honor the spouses of our deployed troops as well as all of our Delaware National Guard spouses for the many sacrifices they make year round. They are the foundation that allows our Soldiers and Airmen to deploy for extended periods of time to keep our great nation free. We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to our military spouses.
