To my high school history teacher Steve Thatcher First Id - TopicsExpress

To my high school history teacher Steve Thatcher First Id like to say thank you for being the great man, friend, and teacher that you are! I enjoyed your classes and commend you on your work! Being out of high school for a few years and still referring back to what youve taught me inside the classroom and out has changed my life forever! Youre probably wondering why I tagged you in this video and what is going on. I believe it was my junior or senior year when you had our class make an invention. Explain why it would benefit society and so on. My first idea I presented to you, that I had held in my head for about 5-6 years, were wireless head phones. Not blue tooth, but my own way of having a 2 piece wireless head set for the convinience of not having a chord and being able to workout without them falling off your ears. As I came to you to get this idea approved, you said no, I couldnt do it...I didnt know why, and I thought it was great! Yeah it was a project and just another grade, but I had something amazing that I thought would make your day. 1 week ago I saw a beats by dre commercial with lebron James and many other pro athletes using wireless head phones.... That was my idea, that was my invention that was told no...but thats not the point here... To all the students in this world who may read this post, my history teacher just taught me a huge lesson. If you have a dream, something that motivates you or interests you...reach for the stars! Go with it, and dont stop until you reach that!! I thank you so much Mr. Thatcher, Im now living my dreams and doing what I want every day...Im currently working my last JOB( JUST OVER BROKE) for the rest of my life. I have the opportunity to retire before the age of 21 and live my life off my ideas and dreams...EVERYTHING.....EVERYTHING, starts out as just an idea! Share this with your students and let them know, let them understand what theyre really capible of. God bless you Mr. Thatcher And again, thank you! Tim Leroy
