To my students leaving for school and/or fancy smancy jobs: I am so proud of you (this includes all of your mistakes and successes, fools!). May a piece of my peace be with you always. And Ill let the great Toni Morrison say it best: I tell my students, When you get these jobs that you have been so brilliantly trained for, just remember that your real job is that if you are free, you need to free somebody else. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else. This is not just a grab-bag candy game.” Be the compassionate warriors you already are and have always been. I love you.
