To our Pittsburgh crew, it is with heavy heart I have to inform you that it doesnt like like we are going to be able to make it out this summer. When Lois had her surprise 80th birthday in Omaha we vowed to make it out to Pittsburgh for her birthday every summer and throughout the year it is something we look forward to all year long and had planned on coming out again till the storm in June hit. We had over $70,000 dollars damage on the house and shop and I just cant bring myself to let someone else work on my house. My contractors license has expired (because Im retired from that work) but I have been spending the summer getting it renewed and finally got it done July 3. I know Teri and Fran wanted to take us up to Erie, and I really want to hear ANY band at the Pittsburgh Winery and I have all sorts of wine stoppers and bowls and cutting boards I was planning on bringing out, and was really looking forward to seeing Lois NOT in the hospital this summer, but.....cant change the weather. I know Teri and Fran have had their share of misfortune this year too and Teri said it was going to be tough for her to get any time off either. Am looking so forward to next summer in Pittsburgh. And, Pat and Susan get to see many of you at the Susan Boyle happening in the fall. Best to you all....Carley, keep playing that oboe!! Tim, look for a PM from me in the next couple of days.
