To our sweet 5 month old... You are a great eater- what was so incredibly difficult and stressful in the beginning is now second nature and a special part of our relationship; we had to work really hard to breastfeed and I cherish the special bond we have even more knowing how much work went into keeping it. I look forward to adding in solid foods next month and seeing you explore and make even more messes. I hope we can continue to nurse for many months to come. You are a noisemaker- toots, bubble blowing, fake coughs, giggles, squeals of laughter, effort grunts as you try new things, and endless sounds from electronic buttons you have learned to push- every moment is filled with laughter around here as you explore the sounds you can make. You never (ever ever) stop moving- you are almost sitting up perfectly on your own, you can roll over and scoot your way around, you are getting the hang of crawling motions, and you love to climb all over whoever is holding you. Kicking and grabbing are your go-to moves and everything you manage to grab goes directly into your sweet mouth. Taking this months photo was a challenge to say the least! It took about 100 pics to get one where you were smiling, not blurry, and not trying to eat the sticker. You are a snuggler- you love your daddy and mommy! You like to play with mommys hair and daddys beard, you like to scratch every surface to see what it feels and sounds like, you pet mommys face as you eat and you stare into our eyes with such adoration and joy. I think of how much I delight in you and its hard for me to even comprehend that God can love you even more deeply than I can. You are a constant reminder of His goodness and mercies. You are growing so fast. Every day you learn something new. We love being your parents!
