To start out our 2015 New Year I would like to share a status message with all of our friends and ask that you share this status too. My sister Charity Godfrey and I, Anna May Michalek, have been trying to figure out a way to locate our older brother. We did go through the process of petitioning the court to have his closed adoption records opened. Which the judge granted. His records are opened. The only downfall is that when I had gone down to Venango county courthouse to the adoption records office I was informed that it would be a fee of $250.00 just to look at the opened records. After talking amongst ourselves and both of us seeing all of these people on facebook finding their siblings we decided to try it. Im sorry I can only give minimal information for what the two of us could piece together. The lady that handled the adoption passed away several years ago so we can not go to her for help. Im asking that each one of you share this status in hopes that it reaches someone who can assist us. His birthname was Robert Shook. His birthday is somewhere between June 1977 and July 1977. We are still unsure of the exact date. The last information we have on him is that he started out with a family in Titusville, PA. We are unsure if he was adopted by the same family or if he was adopted out to a different family. Our birth mothers maiden name is Faith M Shook her birthday is Feb 1960. Please HELP!
