To the Consumer & James. Re Tim Hortons I was bored so I did some research. According to Miller Tabak & Co restaurant analyst Stephen Anderson 1:10,000 Current Tims to resident ratio for all of Canada and 1,7,500 is the estimated limit. Timmys have expanded from coffee & donuts to the luncheon menu with their Panini, breakfast sandwiches, Lasagna, Chili. My question is???? Would a Tim Hortons invasion of the fast food crowd have any affect on the present restaurants in HP? If a Tim Hortons did come to HP I would be interested in their consumer projections. The estimated consumer base of HP has always been a subject of controversy. For for the sake of argument, l will guess our consumer base to be about under 7000 people. Can our present consumer base support a Timmys, along with the rest of the restaurants in HP. I agree with James it would be great but at what cost to other businesses. Now, if we are expecting a great influx of citizens and our Towns population increased to even 4 or 5 thousand, that changes the entire picture. According, to the article, Timmys does target marketing and in Quebec custom tailored their menu to include baked beans.
