I am somewhat surprised at two offers appearing in this page. The first one came from a lady, offering people to accompany them to Puri. The other person just asked ‘Keu darjiling jabe ghurte amar sathe?’ It is a manifestation of the adage, haat baralei bondhu. I wish them they get company. But I have some confusion in my mind. I am putting them. I am not getting judgmental, and am just thinking aloud. So, please do not take it otherwise. 1. We are total strangers to each other. We came to interact through this Forum. Does anyone, in the present socio-political scenario, dare to go out vacationing with total strangers? 2. Budget is a factor. Two persons going to the same location for the same duration may have different budgets. How to reconcile them? 3. People have different habits. Some people need AC in trains and hotels; some can manage perfectly without them. Some can eat in roadside eateries; some needs the calm ambience of a costly restaurant to have his meal peacefully. Some may be religious minded, wanting to see temple and mosques, some may be an atheist. Some people smoke and drink while some do not. How t reconcile these apparently contradictory traits? I shall remain grateful if someone enlightens me. I am asking because even when I go out only with my wife for 30 years, I think it would be better to travel alone, as I do not like her obsession with temples and shopping.
