To the men who agreed to be a part of living history- Jay Rich Khabral Muhammad Keef Brown Epitome, Bo Live II Imhotep Ali, Brooklyn Poet, Frank Williams, Fourfamily: I still cannot fully grasp the impact that last nights show had on me Ill do what I know best and spin it poetically: I was surrounded by Gods at their highest By royalty and greatness By hope personified and powerful declarations I looked into brown faces The ones they say are nameless From bow ties to shoe laces Felonies and court cases Addictions admitted yet shame less Pride spilled from those full lips As they taught me all that He Is... Everyone who was a part of the amazing display of talent, skill, courage, and passion in He is... made me stand a little taller today, smile a little wider, hold my head a little higher, and my load a little lighter. Why, you ask? Because being in the presence of beauty and knowing that these men finally think as highly of themselves as I do of them was phenomenal and I am proud to say I know them, I support them, I am their FRIENDS. These Kings wear their crowns every day, so respect their righteousness- it is embedded in them!! To my BSTI Events Planning Team- Britany Leona, Jessica Monae Williams, Jannika Wagner, Tia Barnes, Milizzia CaliforniaGirl Jackson and Kierston Rusden- you guys are a blessing and I thank you for being the glue that holds all the pieces of this picture in my mind together. To all the people who bought tickets in support of these artists and our attempt at creating a movement- you witnessed greatness in the flesh last night and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking a chance on us. To the Black Men who own/operate their own companies/organizations/brands and so graciously donated their labors of love to our raffle, Duck Tape, Jeffery BigThump Toney, Michael Tatmon Jr- yall are amazing and I support your movements 100%- thank you for rockin with mine! To our Sponsors/Network- this is our own village- I thank you for being a part of it willingly! Imagine Affairs Art Lounge Shashamane Bar & Grill Scott Djsone Floyd Extreme Visual Recordings Joy Elan Sledge Mia Lynn Brandon Summers To the beautiful Black Women who make me shine just as brightly outwardly as I feel like I do on the inside, Kameelah Whitaker & Blessed HandsLa, you make me feel beautiful in my soul and I am very grateful to have you entrepreneurs believe in me unequivocally. Lastly, to my best friend, my teammate, my rock, my critic, my muse, my husband Bo Live: I sit here replaying your performance in my mind and I am still in awe of how I got so lucky as to cross paths with such a beautiful spirit who wants to spend his days with me at his side. You are what I dreamed for before I believed I deserved to dream again. Your talent surpasses most, your natural ability to captivate the attention of anyone within earshot of your truths inspires me...I just want to stand in your shadow and watch YOU shine, Mr. Blue...thank you for doing you, completely. 143 Only place to go from here is up!! #TeamBSTI #SpeakEasyThisSunday #MyBirthdayIsSaturday #CelebratingStrugglesToSuccess #DestinationStillUnknown #MrsBriBlue #BerkeleyUSA #BoAnniInc
