To the students of CCW Wrestling Academy; All things are temporary; this is what gives them value. And so too is it in the case of my time with you. It has been a privilege watching each of you develop the last eight months, which coincidentally is the length of time I spent training with the Hart Family in Calgary before making my own debut. Those of you who have been here from the start can now consider yourselves graduates of pro-wrestling school. You are ready to go wherever you want to go and do whatever you want to do. Those of you who have started more recently, you have the wonderful opportunity to pick up ideas and perspectives from a family of exciting, talented and generous young performers. Each of you has a unique talent that makes you special. Do not worry if the person to your right is bigger, or the person to your left finds it easier to express themselves in promos. There is nobody on earth who can do what you do. Focus on the elements that make you sparkle, and you will always have something to contribute. The more you learn, the more you will find there is yet to discover. Experience is a privilege. Share it generously, and always with the deepest of humility. With every new match, you will continue to broaden your perspective. The best never stop learning. The greatest performers are those who insist on continuing to be the most diligent students. Professional wrestling, as with all group activities of man, is simply a backdrop for communication. There are dozens of ways to put on a wrist lock or throw a suplex. What’s really important is the fundamental truth that you get what you give. The best wrestlers in the world are those who focus not on themselves but on how to showcase the strengths of their dance partners. When two people come together with this goal, to champion each others strengths and show the world how talented the other is, that is when magic happens. Seek out the relationships, with people, places and activities, which bring you joy and peace. Focus on what you can give, and give it to those who appreciate and return it. And always trust your judgment, especially when there are forces pressuring you to do otherwise. There is no such thing as right or wrong in this life. There is only truth. Live yours. With love, Blake
