To those who know Michael Casey, and who knew the lovely Neilie Casey---we have not forgotten. I remember the story Mike told at the service for his wife as clearly as if it were yesterday. He said how on the morning of 9/11, Neilie was leaving for a business trip. And that morning she kissed Mike good-bye as if there was no greater love on earth, as if that moment was the only moment that really mattered. Neilie always knew how to say good-bye, said Mike. Those words not only resonated with me, but framed so many moments in my life after that in such a positive way. Be the one who knows how to say good-bye. Je souviens. I remember still. Thank you for that moment of joy and grace in the midst of such a tragedy.
