To your Friendly neighborhood Politician : If you do your job right in the first place your position would be secure and the people would not mind paying you for your service.... Speaking of service isnt that your job to SERVE the people? To properly represent the PEOPLES interest? So instead of constantly riding your own hidden agenda become a George Washington who shied away from power but took it to better SERVE the people. He was not perfect but he did what was best for the people he took in account the peoples wants and needs. Instead of passing laws that protect yourselves from the previous laws you passed on the american people, remove the previous law that harms the people in the first place. You would think a smart politician would consider the american people as the primary reason for his position due to the fact that the american people elected him in the first place and rightfully pay taxes. So to come to a final point, Should the government be for the people? The answer is yes, but are they currently striving to take into account the american people? No. So What this tells me is something needs to be done, reform or revolution are the current options, because this country was founded on rebels, freedom, and a want, no a need to live free from tyranny and oppression.
