Today, 34 Aquin students in grades 9-11 celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Thomas Church. A total of 67 candidates professed their faith in the form of a renewal of Baptismal promises. Confirmation completes the work of Baptism and binds the confirmed more intimately to the Church. The Most Rev. David J. Malloy, Bishop of Rockford anointed the candidates with the oil of chrism, sealing them with the Gift of the Holy Spirit. They are now conformed more closely to Christ and given the grace of spreading the Lords presence among His people. Congratulations to: Cassidy, Cooper, Ana, Katya, Margaret, Couy, Ashley, Joshua, Bryce, Jonah, Simon, Emma, Mallory, Daniel, Jeffery, Jackson, Georgia, Javier, Elizabeth, Gavin, Garrett, Christian, Cole, Cassandra, Matthew, Lauren, Dennis, Cole, Cynthia, Amanda, Brady, Molly, Matthew and Anne!
