Today, Andrew Weaver proposed a simple amendment to the Throne Speech to add an alternative vision to the economic vision laid out by the BC Liberals of a BC economy based almost entirely on LNG. Andrews amendment proposed that the government support the development of a diversified, sustainable, 21st century economy. Every single MLA in the Legislature voted AGAINST Andrew Weavers motion. This is a sad day in BC when both the government and the official opposition choose instead to gamble on a hypothetical windfall from an unsustainable, uneconomic and non-existent industry. ow.ly/CxxTO
