Today, Brad Hylton and I celebrate the first year of our marriage. It certainly doesnt feel like its been a year already, just as it doesnt feel like its been six years since we first began our journey together. We have laughed, cried, grown as individuals and as a couple. And as I sit here watching my husband as he plays with the kittens, as I sit here discussing all the mundane things husbands and wives discuss (our day, current events, whats going on on facebook), I find myself filled with more love than ever before. I am so PROUD of the man Brad has been and is today. He works hard, he is patient, rational, and sensitive to how Im feeling, even when Im being a butt. He makes me laugh, he makes me think, and he supports me no matter what. He listens when I rant, he rubs my feet, and he takes better care of me than even he realizes. And as I sit here writing this, looking back on a year that presented a hefty amount of trials on our sanity, I can say with confidence that Brad still loves me for exactly who I am, however whacked I may get. I rarely use this word, but Im truly blessed to have this smart, quirky, achingly handsome man all to myself. I love you, Brad, with all of my heart and my soul, for as long as I am in this world, and beyond. Heres to many, many more.
