Today, Congressman Kingston released an attack ad with 3 falsehoods about David Perdue. We need your help to set the record straight . Responses for Kingston False Claims in New AD: 1) Taxes - David has never said he would raise taxes and this false claim has already been debunked by FactCheck.org in an article they released when fact-checking another pro-Kingston ad. David has said repeatedly we need to grow the economy to pay down the debt without raising taxes. 2)Amnesty - David opposes amnesty and has stated so repeatedly. Congressman Kingston is supported by the US Chamber of Commerce. Theyre in favor of amnesty and they support candidates who they believe will help push their agenda to get it passed. Theyve spent millions on TV ads to promote Kingstons campaign. 3) Stimulus - David serves on the board of a company that received a federal grant that was wrapped up in the stimulus bill. However, the board had no say and David didnt personally profit from the stimulus as Kingston implies. On the other hand, Congressman Kingston personally lobbied for and successfully received millions in stimulus money for his district.
