Today, I am reading 1 Corinthians and came across this: 35 And this I say for your own profit, not that I may put a leash on you, but for what is proper, and that you may serve the Lord without distraction. 1 Corinthians 7:35 (NKJV) I started thinking about all the distraction this word has that cause us to not serve the Lord like we should. Distractions that are not inherently evil, but little things like make one say I dont have time to read the Bible but I cant miss this television show. I dont have time to read my Bible but I have time to read other book, play online games and check my Facebook 30 times a day. I dont have time to pray but I can sing songs off the radio in my car. I cant go to Church because I stayed up late last night and need my sleep. I cant give GOD 10% of my time because of worldly distraction. Today as I sit here with nothing to do but read my Bible and pray, I thank GOD that I dont have a lot of these distraction any more. Hallelujah!! Thank you JESUS!!!
