Today I began the long over due process of cataloging my journals- been keeping them since age 17... Got over 100. I have written down all sort of things. Came across a delightful encounter I had with a few youngsters 10 years ago... Thursday 2 October,2003 Today I conducted another session at School of the Nations. I am finding it very interesting there, I love the zeal the lads are showing. Nations has some promising youngsters-Duke Pollard is great..he has the heart and soul for the game. I was also impressed with Conley attitude, he has the right spirit. But my absolute favorite is Kiev Chesney...this lanky skinny kid. Kiev said to me today...Sir, I am joining the Plaisance Academy Program. I am going to be there every day. I will be the first person there and the last to leave, and the hardest worker. Watch and see. Even if the practice is in Berbice, I will be there. I will certainly be watching this kid. He also said that he is going to be an aeronautical engineer, a lawyer and a professional basketball player before the age of 30. Great ambition...I like him.
