Today I celebrate 20 years of marriage to my beautiful wife Daphne Talford McDonald. I can truly say she is the woman God made for me. She is smooth where I am rough, she is quiet where I am loud and she is thoughtful where I am thoughtless. Often people say with great love and sincerity that their spouse completes them or makes them whole. I am blessed to say my wife makes me better. She enhances and improves me; I am more with her than I could ever have been without her. On September 10, 1994 I knew I loved her and wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. What I did not know was the love we shared on that day could grow stronger and more intense. I know now that it will only get better. In the 20 years from that day to this we have shared our lives in every conceivable way. We have raised children, bought homes, experienced financial difficulties, started a business and much, much more. There were many days in those 20 years that presented challenges to our marriage. But with faith in God and teaching from powerful ministries those challenges have been faced and defeated. Any challenge that we have faced or ever will face, simply pales in comparison to the strength, power and purpose of our marriage. So to my wife, the mother of my children, my lover, my best friend and my ride or die chic, I say Happy 20th Anniversary. I can’t wait for the next 20.
