Today I celebrated my entry into octogenarian-hood by getting into - TopicsExpress

Today I celebrated my entry into octogenarian-hood by getting into into an airplane, climbing to 14,000 feet (the max allowed by law without oxygen) and jumping out. I quickly reached terminal velocity of 120 mph, and continued falling. There was no sense of falling, and Mother Earth did not seem to be drawing nearer. But I knew better (having studied physics) so I deployed a rainbow-colored parachute and drifted slowly and quietly to the ground. Eight family members, covering three generations, were there to observe and photograph. A little more invigorating than hearing the strains of Happy Birthday. Full disclosure: I had a veteran instructor strapped to my back.
