Today I did something that even I thought was pretty crazy. I did - TopicsExpress

Today I did something that even I thought was pretty crazy. I did two races a 5k at 10 this morning in Ithaca, and then I flew over to Corning for my second 1/2 marathon of the season. Some asked me when I became this runner? I dont even know, to be honest I still have trouble believing I am a runner. It was Cold, and Windy, and the half was riddled with hills, but I did it! A respectable finish in the 5k chili challenge with a 28:20 I think. I was trying to conserve for the 1/2. I PRed my half with a 25:15:14. A minute better than my last one. I have to thank my training partners and friends from Endless Mountains Runners, and Valley Running Club. You guys make me work hard! I cant thank my wife Lisa and the Wonder Twins enough for braving the elements to be there when I crossed. Beth Woolridge Herbst, thanks for keeping them company. A massive thanks to Curtis Spencer for coming to get me to help me across the line. I may not have made it. I have massive Charlie Horses in both legs, but man do I feel good! It made my heart feel good to see the Valley go out and represent so well. Many of our runners took age group medals, and even more PRed. We are a very supportive running club and awesome group of friends. Thank you all.
