FEDS HANDING OUT $68,000,000,000. WILL WHINING WYNNE BE SATISFIED? DONT HOLD YOUR BREATH. I see where the Feds are transferring $68,000,000,000 to the provinces. Didnt hear anything about it on CBC. But then we seldom do hear much about the Feds which could ever be construed as positive. Negative stuff, however, is trundled out every hour on the hour, day after day, week after week. Similarly, seldom do we ever hear a premier say thank you or even acknowledge receipt of huge amounts of money from Ottawa (regardless of which parties are in power). But we always hear them whingeing and sniveling about being starved for funding and similar claptrap. The biggest whining cry baby of them all is Kathleen Wynne, the Ontario premier who is plunging her province towards bankruptcy at a helter skleter rate. She is always moaning that the Feds dont give her anything. Poor little Kathleen. Nasty, rotten old Feds. In these transfers, all provinces and territories will get more from the federal government next year than they did this year, but poor, impoverished, under privileged Ontario under Whining Wynne, will see its transfers increase about $1.3 billion to a whopping $20,440,000,000 , finally overtaking Quebec as the biggest recipient of Federal handouts. But if you expect Whining Wynne to be happy with this or even express the slightest token or modicum of satisfaction, my guess is you will wait a long, long time.
