Today, I experienced what happens when you refuse to take no and you cant do that and decide it has to be done. Ive had a sofa bed in a guest room that the movers moved in. Over the years, Ive wanted to get rid of it, but heard its too much of a pain its too big too heavy you cant itll have to come out as firewood .... and Id say, okay until the next time Id want it gone and hear a repeat. Last week, I decided to say watch me. Put an add in freecycle with a warning it was heavy and would take a couple of big guys to move it. Got a call from a woman who needed it, her mothers house burned down, with minimum repayment from the insurance company, free was a good price for her. She, her son and brother showed up. her brother said, we cant, it wont work, its not possible (someone moved it in, so, someone should be able to move it out, right?) He wanted to dismantle it to get it out .... She and I both said, pshaw. If you angle it this way, tilt it that way, swing it over here - out it goes He said, aint gonna happen, but here, well try it your way and Ill prove it to you ..... and darned if it didnt do exactly as I expected. They put it in the truck, he said it wont fit .... try it this way he rolled his eyes at me, tried it this way ... and dang .. it fit. Dont let the naysayers tell you it cant be done. and dont ever underestimate the power of two women who need to have something done - they WILL prove anythings possible.
