Today I had Burger King in Spain... Apparently McDonalds and Burger King are direct percent competition with each other here with Burger King coming out on top. Several of the locals told me it tastes more American because its char-broiled. I had it an it actually tastes A LOT better than in America, which led me to this hypothesis: We purposefully make Burger King taste horrible in America to remind the general public of how bad it was like to be ruled under a king. If it were truly American, it would have been called Burger President and had the recipe voted on every 4 years but no recipe can hold office for more than 8.
