Today I had them form a prayer circle in Pasil and some of the moms from that area were there and standing close by... Our teens and the Pasil kids were joined hand in hand for the prayer... I thought about doing the prayer, but I knew I would get out about 5 words and not be able to speak.. so I asked Adelle to lead the prayer and Bheng ended up saying the prayer on the microphone.. There were several teen boys watching on and there was the constant background noise that is always there of many people talking.. And then the prayer started, and Mary Rose went around in the inside of the circle instructing kids to be quiet and to bow their heads and pray... and the prayer got a little louder as the noise got a little quieter, and then suddenly it was quiet all around and all that I could hear was the prayer in the visaya language , and I was taking photos and looking around observing... the teen boys had stopped laughing and half hung their heads to the ground... and I felt the Spirit of God descend on that circle... and I saw Mary Rose wiping the tears from her eyes and Adelle and Aurelia were repeating the prayer with Bheng so their echo was soft in behind her... and for a few moments in time... there was peace in that place... and the presence of God... a place that has never known that... and I had no thoughts, or emotions... but just closed my eyes... to join them
