Today I have been to Cluny College (for Women), Kalimpong on a university duty and overwhelmed there by its clean, beautiful environment, developed infrastructure, warm hospitality and above all, the traditional costumes worn by the students. Then accompanied by Mr. Dipesh (History Lecturer), my scholar Pranay and my car-driver Rudra, I visited Durpin Dara Hill (altitude:1402 m) that gives birds-eye-view of the spectacular serene mountains (Kanchenjunga), plains and rivers. We also visited the Army Golf Course along the most picturesque, beautiful and undulating slopes at Durpin Ridge and and the Buddhist Monastery, Zang-dog Palrifo Brang on the Durpin Dara Hill. The next spot visited is Delo (altitude: 5556 ft) located on the edge of a reef connecting Delo Hills and Durpin Hills. This beautiful nature park with well-maintained gardens as well as fountains,offers one of the best views of Mt. Kanchenjungha and River Teesta. On the way back, we did shopping of green vegetables at the Teesta Bazar.
