Today I learned two lessons...... I will not have other games on the other two tvs and a year makes a big difference. As the pack drove to go up 24-21 I wasnt yelling at the game, I was giving Brooklyn a bath. Kind of glad I did because thay was the turning point. First half was just gross football. Fumble the opening snap and give the Jets the ball on the 15. Dom Capers needs to realize the gimmick offenses are going to be thrown at him each and every week. Why in Gods name did they leave that gameplan is mind boggling. Read option and WR going into the backfield and all 11 guys on defense forget all responsibilities. D - line and pass rushers were invincible 1st half. As I cussed them out in my head it seemed to click and started to confuse Smith. Safeties actually played a decent game. Came and filled and had a few big time pass break ups. Linebackers were average at best. Tough time tackling early but cleaned things up. Tramon Williams actually made a play for the 1st time since 2012. Shields was beat by Decker a few times which was a head scratcher. Hopefully this is a one week thing. Jordy Nelson was a complete monster, even dropping 3 balls thay are usually caught. Give the deep ball a shot at least once a game and he pays you back. Cobb was solid as always, some big time catches when needed with the td and the 2 pt conversion. Quickly becoming a fan of Davonte Adams. Big time catches on 3rd downs on crucial drives. Lacy was used sparingly, mostly to keep him healthy. But didnt see much of Starks either. Jets have a tough front 7 and the gameplan to win through the air turned out to work. Line play was good for the most part. Lang missed a big stunt block which led to a sack. Other sacks were cover sacks or bad reads. Rodgers will never let a secondary get in his head again. Throw the pigskin down the field and good things happen. Couple of non throw aways led to a few 3rd and forevers but great reads jn the 2nd half and the points racked up. Ive learned 4 years ago you trust the play calling in the first half because McCarthy is setting things up. Frustrating for fans because you want points early but all you want is to have more points than the other team when the clock hits zero. Thats what happened today so you take it. And if anyone can find some baby Packers clothes let me know. Too much Pittsburgh apparel on my girls. Help me out. Go Pack Go!!!
