Today I listened to President Thomas S. Monsons BYU Devotional Speech again, that was given November 1, 2011 Be A Light Unto the World. In this speech he tells of Elder Roland Davidson who served his mission in Canada when President Monson was the Mission President. My brother, Roly doesnt like being singled out, as he knows he isnt perfect, and hasnt led a perfect life. I know he isnt perfect and neither am I, but because of his illness, and my love for my brother, at the age of eleven I fasted, for the first time with a prayer in my heart all day long, and with a purpose. I learned that the Prophet, David O. McKay, new my brothers name and also fasted for him. I learned for myself about fasting and prayer at a very young age. I have gained my testimony that The Book of Mormon was translated by Joseph Smith, the Prophet of the Restoration. Here is the link. youtube/watch?v=SlFnp8y0opE
