Today I made it to see my Grandma. I dont get there as often as I would like and it had been along time. When she first seen me she asked if I had won Homecoming queen. I had to tell her that no, that was Candys daughter Lindsay. She told me she knew Lindsay won, she was hoping I had won too. So I had to tell her I was too old. She wondered if I had a boyfriend and if I was living with him. I had to explain that I had been married for 25 years to Mark. She was having trouble remembering Mark. Shortly after all that she realized who I was and she was back to her same self. She told me that one of the nurses didnt have any family and she told her that she would be her grandma so she had someone to love her. She told me how lucky our grandpa was in having such a loving family. She also said that she was of no use anymore, but I told her that her job now was to sit back and just love us. and I know that she does. She truly loves our family with every inch of her being. She is such an inspiration to me and makes me see how blessed I am with a family that all still loves each other and takes care of one another. She cares so much about everyone else. She also made sure before I left, that I had to tell Mark that she did not forget who he was. Grandpa wasnt the only lucky one in the family. I feel pretty lucky myself.
