Today I met a man that had struggled with addiction for the last 20 years. His youngest son that is 25 had a daughter that he has never seen because he hasnt found it in his heart yet to face the failure of being a father. I shared with him a picture I found of his 1 year old granddaughter through social media. In my office, I cried with this man as I know what addiction can do and the strength it takes to overcome through my own biological mother. I share this to ask no matter what your family has done know that blood is thicker than water and forgiveness is not only what we ask of God but we should give unselfishly. Good Night.
