Today I met with a mother from Poole, she has three daughters and they all share a single room in a B&B, paid for by Poole council, actually it is not a B&B because they do not get a breakfast. They share a kitchen and a bathroom and there are others there, who are in exactly the same predicament as them, in the same building. This woman has been there now for the past seven months and apparently the council are paying £460 a week for that room, is it any wonder the council are struggling financially with this kind of incompetence. The truth of the matter is, that is less than a mortgage payment in Canford Cliffs. I am totally shocked that our elected representatives can treat anyone like this and I am sure it is the same scenario throughout the country. Borough of Poole you are a disgrace to humanity for allowing this to happen to anyone and I will scream from the top of the rooftops to ensure this gets resolved as quickly as possible, it should have been sorted a very long time ago. Is this really the Britain so many people died to save, I dont think so but what I do know it is about time we got rid of this Im alright Jack mentality and started looking after those who really need our help. Otherwise far too many died in two world wars to create a society that quite frankly doesnt give a shit!
